While at the boys Blue & Gold dinner tonight we saw this majestic bird flying over the Potomac River.

I am not good at bird ID, but was told it was an eagle.  How cool!  Seeing two eagles flying around right after the boys were awarded their Arrow of Light Award.

Hopefully if you have any Cub Scouts this post will make a little sense. ;)

Family Fun

Since we had the day off I decided to go with the Family to the Purcellville Roller Rink.

Even though it has been many years since I was Roller Skating, 

it was fun and thankfully no one broke anything.

Maggie had vest envy today.  

The funny part was that it was her own Jr. Vest she was jealous of!

She was very happy she got to add her Cookie Star patch/pin.  

I think she liked it even more when she realized her friends were jealous.

We went to see a Chaos Machine with Ethan's Cub Scout Den.

I was really impressed, I thought we would just be allowed to look at it, but they let the boys (and whoever else showed up) manipulate it.  It was really cool!
