Today I did a virtual 5K for Prematurity Sucks. I did it in 39:46- which isn't bad considering:
a. It was only my second 5K ever.
b. I swear the wind was a headwind the entire way.
c. I ended up walking about 1/2 of it!

Photo Time
I can't see paying $50+ per kid in order to get an 8" x 10" picture to scrapbook. The straw that broke the camels back this year and *forced* me to go to Portrait Innovations for their spring picture is that the school changed companies and once again we are asked to shell out that kind of money without any idea of how they will turn out. The company that was awesome enough to print out sheets and let us pay per sheet was replaced, so Hello Portrait Innovations. For around $75 (as opposed to the $150+) I got two 8x10s of each kid, as well as wallets and ten of these cute little Easter Cards. And the big thing, I know the pictures turned out cute!
I only hope they remember to look at the camera for the class picture tomorrow!

Ok, I admit it, I am obsessed with this game thanks to my friend Heather. It is like pictionary, only an app. You guess what the other person draws and I must admit, I love that they give you some of the letters. This is one of only 2 rounds I had to pass on, I just couldn't figure it out- even after exploding some of the letters away. (You start with 12 letters and can use the bomb to get rid of letters that are not used.) Any Guesses?

We went to the DC Home and Garden show today. I saw this hanging at the convention center and immediately thought of my nephew Richie. I still am not quite sure what the point of this was, but it looked cool!

Magdalena joined Girls on the Run (GOTR). It starts on Monday. Today, we went shopping for jogging clothes. We spent the whole day trying on clothes and running shoes. When we got home at 8:30, she begged me to go out and run with her. Despite the fact that I stink at running, I agreed and we went in the dark for a short mile jog. She was great! Now if only I could run farther than 10 feet with wheezing like the Penguin from Toy Story, life would be great!

Stories Under the Stars!
We had another great night at Stories Under the Stars. The boys and I listened to Miss Malick read her famous Skippyjon Jones books, Mrs. Hicks and a great cockroach story and Mrs. Paulson and her Penguin Stories. Mrs. Paulson even gave out these cute bookmarks for the kids to use in their new free book they got to pick out at the end of the night!

The program basically has Dad's (or other male parental figures) volunteering in the school.
